Paul was born and raised in Windsor, the son of The Reverend Canon Bert and Vera Silcox, and one of five children.

He graduated from the University of Western Ontario in London with BAs in Economics and History. After a successful career in human resources and labour relations, consulting in the private and not-for-profit sectors in Fortune Five Hundred Companies in Canada and the US, he followed a call to ordained ministry. He attended seminary at Wycliffe College, University of Toronto and graduated with a Master of Divinity Degree. Ordained a Deacon and then a Priest, he served in Anglican Parishes in Cambridge and Brantford before moving to The Church of the Epiphany in Kingsville, Ontario.

In his vocation as Epiphany's rector, Paul enjoys sharing with parishioners in proclaiming, and living out the good news of Jesus Christ. He is particularly focused on helping newcomers and long-time congregants to grow in their understanding of who God is, discover how Christ is at work in their own and other's lives, and seeking ways to share their faith with their respective communities. He is impressed by his parishioners’ expertise, participation, warmth and enthusiasm for new ideas and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.

Paul and his wife, Pam, are delighted to be at Epiphany Church in Kingsville, and welcome all those who are curious, all those who are seeking, and all those who already believe, to come and take part in worship, prayer, learning and fellowship where they can experience the love and peace of God.
