In Marilyn's Words

Thanks to all the Church of the Epiphany parishioners who sponsored me in my 46th Terry Fox Run!

Despite the rainy weather, we raised $27,400, and I personally collected $7,000 in donations.

I also had an opportunity to meet Terry's brother, Fred, at a pasta dinner in Tecumseh and hear about Terry's journey, the evolution of the Terry Fox Foundation, and the progress being made in cancer research.

Terry had osteosarcoma, and advances in treatment and cancer research have greatly improved outcomes for many people diagnosed with the disease since Terry began his Marathon of Hope in 1980—bringing us one step closer to Terry's ultimate dream of a cancer-free world.

46 Years and Counting

In 2025, Marilyn was recognized for 45 years of participation in the Terry Fox Run. Her 2026 run marked number 46—continuing a commitment that reaches all the way back to the beginning of this remarkable Canadian tradition.
